Thanks, I thought of another potential problem... forget the stupid bank holidays! lord, (forgive the pun) just what happen's when you are due to be paid on what then is a bank hol back 2 back such as easter? am I right in thinking any wage payment normally on a Friday could occur on a Tuesday? (would this be most likely?) also this agency seem to do the wages payin as a bank giro (not the salary type abv) - their name and or any association doesn't actually appear on my bank statement, only what seems to be the sending bank - is this odd? I just worry that it could be viewed as though I don't receive pay for employment IF I ever need to go near the benefits office or am I being completely gaa gaa!0

Pay should be in the contract T&C of payments.
It should specify the pay period and the pay day/date.
many companies have a policy of a pay day/date or sooner. but could have first working day after.
eg.
1. if the pay day is last Friday of a month then you get paid on the Thur if the Fri is a BH.
2. if they have a date of say last day if that falls on a BH then the previous working day is the date.
Proof of pay is the pay slips not a bank statement.0 -

You'll almost certainly get your pay 2 working days late. It shouldn't happen but most temping agencies care more about preserving their cash flow than whether the temps can eat/keep the lights on.0 -
Hope this means what I think it does?

7.8. Save where this clause is amended by the Assignment Details Form, where a bank holiday or other public holiday falls during an Assignment and the Agency Worker does not work on that day, then subject to the Agency Worker having accrued entitlement to payment for leave in accordance with clause 7.2 or clause 7.3 (if applicable), that day shall count as part of the Agency Worker’s paid annual leave entitlement.

Not sure what you think it means, but what it does mean is that if you don't work on a bank holiday you can count it as part of your paid leave entitlement.
How much you are paid will depend on how much paid leave you have accrued but not already taken at that point and, if you had been "saving up" your entitlement, you should expect to receive pay for no more hours than you would work on a normal day.
You should also ask in advance, because not all agencies will automatically pay it without your having to request it.0 -

All I needed to know, thanks. Hope you understand that!
I'll try asking but would like to hope my timesheet does the trick as well as per the standard submission, I'm sure they will be quick enough to tell me if I don't qualify (which in working 12 weeks I'm rather hopeful I do)
Amazing what people don't understand when they don't want tobut I'm slightly bigger then that so thanks again for the final insult. And I'm out of here as keep being told I'm misunderstood and everybody else has rights is a bit much. Jeez.

You do sound as if you are panicking, and as a result you are being rather unfair to the people on here who are trying to help you.
The main thing you have to check is whether your agency consider that your hourly rate is inclusive of holiday (which is possibly illegal, but some agencies still do it) or whether you are accruing/building up holiday. If the latter, then you can request the BHs as paid holiday. If the former, you will not be paid for the days. Automatically, it seems from the extract from your contract.
Wages are normally paid early when a BH or other event makes it impossible to pay on the normal date.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
You agency will have a form or a procedure to request to be paid holiday. Find out what they do and submit it and you'll get paid for the day from your accrued holiday hours.0
