I am unhappy Tesco mobile signal quality. I have an anytime upgrade contract. If I was to pay off the phone cost I would then be eligible to take a new 24month contract with new phone. Would the standard cooling off period apply to this new contract. i.e. so i can cancel and then take a new contact with a different provider. Any thoughts?

When does your current network contract expire .0

Jan 2016 contract ends0

So, you are unhappy with the signal, but want to upgrade with the same network?!
Makes no sense to me...

I don't want to upgrade with them ongoing. I want to upgrade to them with a view to canceling the new contract within the cooling off period. Then take a new contract with a different provider.0

I still don't get it.
You are unhappy with the signal, not the phone. Correct?
What's the point in upgrading with the same network "with a view to cancelling"?0 -
Thanks for replying! I will try and clarify.
To cancel the contract I need to buy out the phone cost and tariff cost which I don't want to do. I can buy out phone cost but to do that I need to sign up to a new 24 month contract - which I will then cancel (if Tesco allow), hence my question!
So I will then have my phone and will sign up to a new contract sim only with another provider, or sell the phone and sign up to a new phone/tariff contract with another provider.

Why is there a 'credit agreement'?You have a credit agreement because you're paying for your phone over 24 months. But remember that there's 0% interest, so you're not paying any extra this way.6 Your right to end this credit agreement
6.1 ... you may repay and end this credit agreement at any time by giving us at least 30 days’ notice in writing and making payment of the amount applicable under clause 8.
...
8 Your responsibility to us on termination
8.1 If you ...end this credit agreement, you must pay us the outstanding balance of the Amount of credit plus any other sums which may have become due by you to us under this credit agreement.0 -
Interesting I'll give them a call again. They told me I had to pay the whole contract phone/tariff to cancel.0
