how many people on here are millionaires (including "on paper")

A million is actually very little these days, many have fallen into this group by accident, myself included to some degree.
If you bought your first house in the South in, say 1971, aged 21. And stepped up every 10 years. You must be sitting in a house worth more than £1 million.
A final salary pension kicks in at age 60 - the pot is worth around £750,000 on average.
Savings over 40 years must amount to around £500,000 per couple.
So, anyone over about 50 who are not £millionaires have done something very badly wrong somewhere along the line .........Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
It seems it would be quicker to ask who isn't a millionaire.
Im far from it, but Im under 30 and dont own a property.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -
