Re: signing of documents, a lot of cards now don't require it. I signed up for three cards this year, two of them did not require any physical signature.

I was also signed up for an American Express card, the applicant had all my details except they used an old phone number and got my employment status wrong. fortunately the application failed and no search was recorded on my credit file.

It's better to check whether it's junk or not than be schocked that you've got new card and don't know anything about it.
