I am in shock for some reason i went online to check my LlyoldTSB current account and credit card to find i ALSO have a Airmiles Duo Credit Card for a limit of £15000 i rang lloydstsb and they are investigating how i got signed up for a credit card without my knowledge i am completly shocked
for a start its another credit search possibly on my account? also how can they sign me up for a credit card WITHOUT my consent i signed no documents etc.
How can they do this? can i take action against this? the customer representave is investigating this but i think i am entitled to tak this further???

Which of course would have been conveyed to you in a letter some months ago!
Strangely enough if it was I did not receive one either, sometimes these things can go astray you know.
The first I knew something was up was when the balance disapeared off my old card.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

Is it not the case that all current LLoyds credit card customers will have their cards switched over to the new Duo on expiry of the old card ? I'd be surprised if another credit check was done on changeover, but as far as I'm aware they would be entitled to do one.
I'm sure I've been sent some form of literature from them to comunicate that.
It's a shame as I used to be an AMEX platinum holder for many years, but in the end voted with my feet and cancelled the card due to appaling customer service from them. Their compensation dept. though was rather good.
Who is actually responsible for the admin of the new card, LLoyds or AMEX ?0 -

Be very wary if a card turns up and you know nothing of it.
Tip: Check your credit files with all 3 credit reference agencies. Equifax, Experian & CallCredit.
And if you want protection against this happening then consider www.freeidprotection.co.uk
