Bank transfer. Faster payments are usually instant.0

You should email something via Ebay (so you have a record) stating that as the courier is arranged by the buyer, you accept no liability for any damage.0

Unfortunately eBay don't work like that, the seller responsibility to ensure safe delivery is absolute. Also finding any valid email for eBay is a quest in itself.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I just meant through messages rather than via private email, so an Ebay drone could see the email trail.
It makes no difference, seller remains responsible for item until buyer has it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Once the buyer has arranged for collection by their own courier, and the item has been picked up and signed for by said courier, surely responsibility for that item is now with the buyer, as the contract now in force is that between buyer and courier.
Perhaps Ebay don't see it that way but I am sure the law does.0 -
I was just looking back, I really thought I had updated this. Thanks for all the help. All went well. The courier signed my piece of paper to say he collected it in good condition and we both kept a copy. I don't suppose it would have stood up in Ebay rules but it made me feel better.
I heard no more from the buyer - no contact or feedback so presumed all was well.Love living in a village in the country side0
