Hi, I sold a bed, collection only. The buyer rang at 11 pm last night to say she was sending a courier today and how to pay.
Which is the safest way at this late stage please?
Can PayPal 'send money to family or friends' be reversed?
If she does bank transfer will it show in my online bank this morning?
Many thanks for reading

You need to arrange the courier not them, Otherwise when they file an INR how can you prove it was sent

I certainly wouldnt accept paypal on a collection Item

Online bank transfer faster payment would show straight away, although im not sure if it can be reversed or not

She has said she will send me a screen shot of her receipt of the bank transfer

That sounds scammy , why would you need a screen shot that can be easily faked?

A bank transfer can in certain circumstances be reversed the same day, but is completely safe if it goes past close of business on the day it is paid in.

Personally I would be insisting this was collected and cash paid otherwise you are going to end up with a whole load of issues, how for instance are you going to wrap it ?

Hi, I read the useful sticky, thanks. Thanks for the bold info
    UPDATE
She did the transfer and it appeared in my bank account instantly. The courier is coming at about 4 so I suppose the best I can do is check the account then. She wont see it till 7 pm. She said the courier wont need it wrapped up. I think it sounds like a 'man and van' rather than a courier.

Just to add to the warnings. I let someone do this then when they received it they claimed it was damaged and demanded I pay the costs to collect From them. I didn't. It wasn't.

Hopefully it appeared as a cash deposit or cash transfer rather than anything else.

If the buyer raises a claim they will be told to return the item to get a refund. I don't think this is an aspect to worry about.
