I think it's time we asked frankwoman to start her own thread instead of encouraging the hijacking of this one.Je suis Charlie.0

Hi Bazter, please accept my apologies for hijacking this thread. I am totally new to all this and only asked for some advice / help from others who perhaps had greater knowledge / experience. So far the advice I have been offered has been incredibly enlightening and helpful

Go and look up the meaning of the word 'suspect'.
I 'suspect' you have a vested interest in the PPC industry. Which is why you've chosen to interpret a comment, clearly stating that the PPCs motives are profits before lawfulness, and somehow come up with 'you want a free for all'. It doesn't state anything of the sort, nor is that the intention behind the post, as everyone with a grasp of English can plainly see.
Except you, you've read into it what you would like it to mean in order to devalue the anti-PPC argument on here. As far as I can see, there's only one possible reason why anyone would choose to do that, as I think we both know.
Wrong on so many levels - my vested interest is purely that I went to the college, I live in the local area and I've seen some of the crap driving and selfishness of both students and mummy/daddy dropping people off.
At no point have I raised anything about the legality or otherwise of the penalty - purely that those who've driven down there have either made a conscious decision to ignore the signs or could do with an eye test
As for 'a vested interest in the PPC industry' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
You still haven't read what I, or the other poster, have written.
Have another go.
Sheesh, and you went to college?Je Suis Cecil.0 -
I'll let you carry on with your battle re legality vs my view of people sometimes having to take personal responsibility for the mistakes they make or choices they take - your personal insults and assumptions do nothing for your cause0
-
I'm more than happy for you to argue your point that people sometimes choose to ignore signs and ought to take responsibility (although people do sometimes make honest mistakes, and the unlawful actions of private parking companies doesn't make it alright), but it might help your crusade slightly if you actually read what other people are writing and stop selectively misinterpreting what they're saying.Je Suis Cecil.0

Broadbean, where are you up to with your case with Minster? I have just had my appeal rejected and was wondering whether I should appeal to POPLA or just pay the charge?0

Please stick to your own thread.
Nobody here will suggest you pay that scam invoice.0
