Hi Ginny, good to see you again. I like the sound of that injection, where can I get one? Something needs to get this lazy lump moving!

Dear grumpy, unsociable old bat, Hail soulmate.
It's not that I dislike my fellow human beans, I can do friendly interaction when required, but am very happy with my own company. In fact I desperately need solitude and lots of it.

I have a to-do list. I've had it some time and crossed out the day at the top more than once. I've just crossed out 'Wednesday' and nearly come to the end of the paper, so I've squeezed in 'Thursday' and resolved that today I will REALLY make a start on it.

Mardatha - that's why I'm so glad DH has a hobby! Although I enjoy company as an only child I do like having time to myself - come to think of it so does DH lo!.
Good to 'see'you Ginny -hope both you and your DH continue to improve.
Right - need to gt my Arris in gear today as my list has a number of items been on there for about two weeks!!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Camelot Thoughts are with you too, so sorry about your kitchen floor x

I bought a beautiful advent calendar two years ago and it is such good quality that I put it away and used it again last year; and have just got it out again :) Each door has a Christmassy illustration from books in the Bodleian Library.

    Evening all,

Nice to see you Ginny and to hear that things are improving for both you and DH.

Burtha.....Mossy, our pe(s)t helped himself to 3 chocolate oranges and most of the packing last Christmas with no ill effects.......mind you, in his 10 years he has eaten through a wooden fence and a plastic lawn mower......couldnt manage the metal bits, so we are never surprised at his diet.

Very cold here, DS1 just left for his 3hour journey home to West Cork. Needs must, as he now works in Dublin 4 days a week.

Sure she will be fine , thankfully it was only a cheep advent calendar so probably only about 80g of Chocolate. Don't normally buy them as always fill up the wooden one for my youngest kids , ... she is sound asleep next to me , snoring away.... thought she was getting better behaviour with old age (3) as in the past has chewed through many cables ,hairdryer, straighteners, etc thankfully none were plugged in ..... she doesn't even have to grace to look guilty ...

Out of interest - why didnt you like the induction hob Softstuff?

Sorry it took me a bit to get back, I sometimes manage to read and run, but typing on a tablet takes longer.

The induction doesn't work for me because I'm a pan shuffler, I move my pan around a fair bit, which turns it off, then I accidentally set off an alarm (by putting my pan on the bit where the touch buttons are) and I don't seem to be able to control the heat as easily. Basically I'm more clumsy than it allows for. In addition, touch buttons Don't respond to my fingers very well.

As for the worktop, they don't measure for a caesarstone (or any other stone) worktop until the kitchen is installed. They make sure the cabinets are level and sturdy enough to install to and then measure to the mm. I cheated with the bathroom vanity and ordered caesarstone without them measuring, but I allowed extra overhang so i didn't have to be mm perfect.

Nice to see you Ginny xx
