Looks as if we were all very busy yesterday! We took poorly brother to the airport and he's now safely back home.
Very tired after 3 days "entertaining" him. We are looking after the DGC until after 5 this afternoon, and DD2 asked if we could stay later as it's also DGD's Open Evening/Parents' Evening and she had an appointment with DGD's teacher at 6.20, but I've had to say we can't manage thatIt's a shame, as she only asked us because their Godmother was going to have them but is now unable to.
I was a bit  this morning when I switched the laptop on and discovered that Google knows it's my birthday  but I suppose it's not really surprising.0 -

I have a bit of good news today, I got the job :j
In a week or 2 I'm officially a medical receptionist for an imaging centre in a hospital. At least a day a week, sometimes up to 5. Pays better by the hour than when I was in management.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

Brilliant news SS . I bet that's put a smile on your face . Well done .
You mentioned diy sheds employing older workers , we have a certain chain here with a similar policy and the wealth of experience of former trades etc makes it a much more positive experience . A real shame if it is through dire need but some I know weren't quite ready to retire so welcome the chance to keep their hand in and share their knowledge
Hope all are well , finally have the big yellow ball today and I hope you all get a share .

Congratulations softstuff, happy birthday ivyleaf.
Oh damn, the upstairs toilet cistern has sprung a leak and now the ceiling and wall in the lounge need painting once the leak is repaired. Surveyor is due Friday, somehow I can't see it being done in time!
Never rains but it pours and I'm getting the blame as I'm the one who noticed it.Chin up, Titus out.0
