Sigh, just lost a long post that disappeared as I was 7/8ths through it. I think I caught an unexpected key on the keyboard. Undo didn't work. Blast.

Summary: Lovely pet posts, thank you. Jet sounds a treasure!

Highlight of work week, Maths exam pass for student with no home internet access and English as his fifth language. Two new students.

Lots of freebies in the post, many to be given away, but one solved a problem for me. I wanted to secure my granny trolley to the luggage rack of the trike, and having wondered how I was to do this without buying massive weighty straps and buckles, I've been sent a suitcase ID strap to review today that should do the job perfectly.

This brought me a lot of pleasure. Sniff. Have a tissue handy, but it is so lovely.

    That's adorable Mcculoch.

We're off to ikea this morning. It's a few hours away and I only decided this morning in bed rather than doing my usual planning, so I'd best be offski xx

Hope you found what you wanted at IKEA Softstuff and managed not to buy loads of things you had never thought of, as we usually do :o

I've never been to Ikea!! Though there is one being built near me, I probably won't go there either.
Hubby and I are writing list of what we want to take with us when we downsize and then crossing things off the list when we realise it won't all fit in.
We had all four of the DGC to stay on Friday night, I was watching Peppa Pig at 1am as the 18 month old woke up & I didn't want her to wake the others up.
I have sorted a huge bag of bedding that I need to get rid off, 5 boxes of books, a large amount of craft stuff and a partridge in a pair tree!!
    Chin up, Titus out.

Molly the collie has been with us a whole week.

Number of swipes received from senior cat - about 25, slowing down now, think they're getting used to each other.

Number of pairs of tracksuit bottoms belonging to DS that have had the backside ripped out of them - 1.

Number of mad episodes spent charging around the house, up and down the stairs, bashing the hell out her squeaky toys - only 1 today, she must be getting tired.

A work in progress, but we'll get there....

    Sounds fun Nargleblast!

Glorious day here, I spent most of the day scraping moss from between the bricks on the drive - what a monotonous, thankless task. The front doesn't get much sun till this time of year so the moss has taken hold. Only got about a quarter done so will try to do a bit each evening as long as the weather holds.

Planted up the hanging baskets and a couple of planters by the front door too, grass cut and I'm done in now!

Hope you've all had a good wekend.

Well, I was restrained. .. more or less. 1 set of curtains, 2 blinds, a teapot (to replace the one that hasn't had a lid for 4 years ), cork coasters, some storage containers and a watering can. Oh, and a very cute recycle bag.

We have picked the bathroom vanity and mirror, our kitchen, units for the laundry, the wardrobe fittings. All we need to do now is measure and plan, then go back. Oh, and pay for it :D

I love Ikea, the wee rooms are like a giant dolls house for adults :) the RV walks away fast in case I do something embarrassing, like get stuck on the bunk bed ladder...
