HH - Love the fact that you're planning and seeing what your options are now - far too many people sit back and wait for the doo-doo to hit the fan and are then forced into a corner. You have options, explore them and make them work for you.

Hester: courage, dear heart. If things get sticky and unpleasant you have already made your decision and have nothing left to lose so can give them a few home truths.
Of course, they may be going to congratulate you and offer you more money............where is the smiley with the look of sheer incredulity?
    Will be thinking of you.

  • HESTER hope your review today is positive and to your advantage and hope also that your DHs employers are accountable for their lack of actions. One small bit of advice if you want it is DON'T make a final decision in the heat of pressure and while your joint jobs are in a state of change, wait to see exactly where you are after things settle, wait for a little stability and time to see clearly where you are and what YOU BOTH want for the future. It's not easy to reverse things that you've set in motion in heated times, and they might not actually be what you really want just ideas hatched from sheer desperation. Hope all goes well for you today xxx.

Just running in to say GOOD LUCK HESTER X

have decided to get rid of our chest freezer - of to get my gloves on and have a clear out - I seem to be shopping to fill it which is just daft- from September it,ll be DH and myself for most of the time, and I work PT, so have plenty of time to pick something up if needs be.

Anyone got any good ideas where I can send a perfectly good medium size chest freezer? Freegle here appears to be popular with those who pick up stuff and sell it on, so I,d rather give it to someone who 'needs' it.

Islandmaid - British Heart Foundation and Barnardo's take electrical items. Some other charities do too. At least that way it will be bought by someone who needs it and the charity will benefit. HTH.
Monna - no pressure! In your own time :)

Hester - fingers crossed for you xxx
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Best wishes Hester. I'm with Mrs LW in that please don't make a final decision until both of you are thinking clearly. It is terrible what you both are going through and on top of a bereavement too. Monna I believe that you too will come through this soon. Life is rubbish sometimes.

Well it could be worse. I'm getting 120 quid a year pay cut. We all lost our holiday work and 2 inset days. I gave up my holiday work last year, hence the small pay cut, some colleagues have lost a lot more.
    Chin up, Titus out.
