Hester I think I've read that an epilator discourages regrowth, in which case the ouch factor may well be worth it
I remember my DD2 when she still lived at home, doing her underarms and going OWW!
TiredTrophy Threading it certainly doesn't sound a lot of fun either!
I think you're both quite brave.

I've just ordered a gadget thats supposed to 'sandpaper' away facial hair. Will try to remember to let you know how I get on. At the moment my facial hair is very fine, any strong odd ones get plucked out.
And I hide from DH when doing this as I don't want him to think I'm turning into a man. Anyone else do this?Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I remember once someone posted a pic of her dog caught red-handed, (so to speak
) with a strawberry between its teeth and looking extremely guilty :rotfl:
I think it was on the Daily thread, years ago.
Lol Bonnie doesn't have an ounce of guilt in her body :rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I got fed up of suddenly seeing stubble glinting along my top lip, on these sunny days. I bought a travel razor, battery operated, small and really quick to use, er, most mornings! Can't use dipalitory cream 'cos I allergic. Luckily I wear trousers for work so only shave legs once a week unless on hols in sunny climate .I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0

I have used an epilator on my legs and under arms for a number of years now. I remember the pain being really bad to start with and now it doesn't hurt at all, and there are hardly any hairs growing now.
I use wax strips on my top lip, but am thinking of using the epilator when I run out of the wax strips to save money, I'm also hopeful that using the epilator will slowly stop the growth.0
