After a three hour plus delay on a recent EJ flight, I followed Martin's posts on Flight Delay Compensation. I have to agree with him that the rules are somewhat draconian and could lead to increases in fares so, using the template as a guide, I modestly requested not the full compensation allowed but merely the cost of our delayed flight (two people = £55).
But EJ say they cannot refund the cost of the flight as we had, eventually, taken it. However, they went on to offer me the full compensation which amounts to 500 euros!
Should I be unhappy with this or not?
