Netgear WGT624 V2 Corrupt firmware update
After trying to do a update i seem to have ended up with a dead router.
I have looked on google and found a Recovery Utility but for some reason i just get get it to work .Any help would be great please keep in simple if poss.

    Yes i have tryed to reset the router and i have looked at the page but to be honist that page is no help after a Corrupt firmware update .Thanks anyway

    to be honist this seems to be a common problum that can happen after a bad firmware update the power light on the router just keeps flashing and you can not get on the internet.

    Not sure exactly what you mean by a bad firmware update. The files check sum should be confirmed before switching over to the new firmware. Can you try to update to a different version? Have you re-enetred your settings?

    i can no longer use the explorer update page for the router as the routers not working.So not possable to try a new update.

    if you do a

    start, run, cmd

    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig

    what ip address do you get?

    does https://www.routerlogin.com work?

    ipconfig Release ok
    ipconfig renew no go
    cames up with a ip address not sure if i sould put it on here

    is it a 169.x.x.x or 192.x.x.x (these are apipa/local IP's, so no harm in putting it here).

    Did you do the ipconfig whilst connected to the router, or have you attached the cable modem directly?

    How did you reset the router??? did you do a FULL reset or just press the button in??
