Hi Fizzy & Mumstheword - nice to see you! and thank you both for your kind words, they mean a lot when things get difficult!
So i'm home from being pampered by the family - and its a glorious day, i'm sat in the sun relaxing and really having a lovely morning. I'm sure i'll have a wobble later today whilst everyone else is out having fun and i'm on my own but hey - next bank holiday i just need to be more organised and maybe i just need to get out and meet new people! Although i have a few plans for today, i need to put some shelves up  so i'm hoping B&Q/homebase is open for me to get the wallplugs, and i'm beginning to de-clutter quite a lot. It is strange, i get so stressed out by STUFF if that makes sense - i get really frustrated by all the STUFF i have around but i also in the same moment find it really difficult to let go of things, i always find a reason to keep the STUFF, i want to start using it again, i will wear it again, it was a gift, no one would want it and i don't want to throw it away, i use it occasionally blah blah blah whatever the reason i find it difficult to let go of my things. Maybe i'm worried about having an empty house in more way than one?
I seem to be in the process of letting go of a lot in my life......... food for thought

CC you are doing great & a wobble after being with family is bound to throw you.
A lot of people are out spending money they've not got with people they don't want to be with or even being cheated on. You have puppy who will never let you down & this being alone lark isn't forever it's for now.
I've got a friend who hates clutter & is constantly telling me to get rid of "stuff" & gradually I am. She lent me a book called Stuffication" that's makes complete sense of why we won't let stuff go.
I don't think of it as getting rid I think of it as my charitable life style. I took great pleasure sorting through old costume jewellery that quite honestly was horrific. So I found an old Jiffy bag & sent it off to Alzheimers Association for recycling. All the charities are crying out for stuff.
After breaking up with live in BF my D emptied flat of everything she didn't need including him & now has very little in it but everything is her choice.
You can get through this by jeans, trainers & puppy & willpower.

Hi CC, so glad you had a good time with your family over the Easter hols - so did I:j:j:j
Hard to believe isn't it that a credit card company won't sort out a simple error that lots of people must make occasionally. At least it means you overpaid by quite a bit, and it's over now!!!!!
Looking forward to catching up with the NOT BUYNG IT thread! I usually make a note of the post number I've got up to when I'm reading threads gradually, then I don't get lost!!£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

So here we are - i had quite a nice weekend, the sun coming out was lovely but i was quite lonely at times. I had a crazy Friday though - we went to a comedy club which we had a voucher for - it was £10 for a meal a drink and the show, we went as a massive group and had such a giggle , we caught the train there and back and it was honeslty such a well needed night out. Unfortueatly i had some upsetting news on Saturday and it made me all over the place. It's so hard at the moment as im not in the place where i'm enjoying being single. All my mates are like, oh it must be amazing going out meeting new people and dating - im a bit like - meh........ can't be bothered and i have to do everything by myself and it sucks

But at least i'm ok!!!
Started doing a payment a week off my overdraft and its added upto over £25 already BIG SMILES! having dramas with one of my Credit Cards, the payment varies massively - i try and pay as much as i can but i think they keep calculating it wrong as some months its £150 some its £320??? so i've written and asked them to explain. Hopefully it can all get sorted
everything can be at the end of the day if they are overcharging me its all extra off the balance! i can't wait to clear just one of my debts, it'll be such a good feeling knowing i owe one less!!! i'm working quite hard on my two smaller ones just as i know it'll feel good clearuig them - although after the mess again with this CC i may divert my attention to that just to get rid of them for good!
I'll updat e again later when i'm hopefully slightly more positive
Hope everyone has an amazing monday

That Friday night out certainly seems like money well spent I would say! It's great to have a laugh isn't it? I had a nice afternoon/evening on Saturday with a friend and we went to see the Cinderella movie. Just so nice to chill out and have fun!:j
I'm sure that as you start to feel better about your finances (which you are already doing so well with!) it will make you feel more like meeting new people and dating again! It will boost your confidence no end to think how you've overcome this situation!£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[
