It's a shame Waitrose have sorted this 'glitch' but it's still my favourite store for reductions, in spite of this. If you time it right in Waitrose, you can get some incredibly good deals on the 'final reductions'.

I would also like to know what the coffee trick is!

My local Waitrose still worked last weekend, but not this one just gone. Guess it must be a gradual roll out.
  • Still sick as a parrot about this! - am I right in thinking Morrisons and Tesco still take off the multibuy on reduced items? - not as good as Waitrose but would be useful to know.
BTW - can anyone elaborate on the minor glitch with the coffee? thanks SS

Can't vouch for Morrisons as there isn't one near me, but Tesco don't take off the multi-buys or anything else, if a product is reduced that is the price you pay and no lower.

They haven't done so for years.

Tesco does in certain circumstances. Morrisons also, certainly if you go through the SS checkouts - I have heard it said here on MSE, that if you go through manned checkouts, Morrisons SAs will cancel the extra discount.

Unfotunately didn't work for me today. Bought 2 Rachel organic greek youghurts reduced to 65p each. They were on multibuy for 2 for £3. O.OO on the multi buy for them on the receipt. This was at the wrose near the cow roundabout!
