We stopped in Monterey 1 night and then had 2 nights at Pismo Beach at Kontiki Inn. Fantastic place on the beach.0

I second the above recommendation for Kon Tiki Inn, we had 2 nights there and wished we could have had more.
We drove from SF to Yosemite then back to the coast at Monterey Bay for 3 (or 4?) nights, Pismo Beach then Ventura for 2 nights so we could do a day at Six Flags MM.
From there we were meant to fly home out of LAX, but that volcano erupted in Iceland and we ended up with 5 days/nights in Anaheim and another couple at Long Beach as a bonus before flying home2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

If any other members reading this thread haven't driven the California coastal highway and are wondering what we're all drooling over...

Another vote for San Luis Obispo - really nice town. We stopped twice on the way from SF to San Diego - once at Carmel Valley at this place which was lovely: http://loslaureles.com/ and once at San Luis Obispo.
It is a really lovely drive and we were glad to take our time."Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."0 -

Ahh happy days. We got an extra week in Vegas, paid for by Virgin as a result of the volcano :beer:0
