Lithuania-based Small Planet Airlines

We have had a long-term compensation claim with Small Planet Airlines, now operated out of Lithuania, and we have just received notification from Lithuanian European Consumer Centre (ECC) that our claim is rejected due to the airline stating, 'the cause for the delay was a malfunction of the plane's autopilot system which they consider extraordinary and unexpected circumstances. As such, the airline declines your request for compensation under the Air Passenger Right's legislation, Regulation 261/2004.'
What are our options now or is this the end of the road for our claim?

Small Planet should be covered in this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4445423
start with a good read here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5173888 re the court process etc (if you believe their defence is false) and post on the other thread if you have further questions0
