    No cooking/minimal use of kitchen

= stinky takeaway in the dining room or bedroom every night. Can't see this one working out for the LL!
  • It all sounds very unreasonable to me.

I agree - this is absolutely ludicrous; she sounds like Harvey "Toads" Denton from The League of Gentlemen! ;)

She'll probably be forever hovering outside the bathroom door, counting the number of turds passed during every "number two" visit (one sheet of single-ply loo paper per motion)!

It's more likely an attempt to minimize the gas/water/electricity bills - thus even more money for less amenities...

I have 2 mon-fri lodgers, who pay a set amount, they are welcome to use kitchen/lounge/showers etc anytime they wish. Sometimes they ask to stay an extra night, no problem & I don't charge them extra.I want them to feel at home :D

Do you mind if I ask where you found your Mon-Fri lodgers?

I use Spareroom to find my lodgers but have never been lucky enough to find people who only want Mon-Fri.

Hi Cheeky_Monkey, I advertised on Spareroom too though under the mon-fri heading. Both rooms were taken within a week. In the room description I reiterated it was mon-fri & non smokers only. 1 of my lodgers is from Kent, & the other from London, they've both been here nearly a year now.

Again no issues, her right but her rules are…mmmm:

No access to the house until Monday night
No access to the house after you leave for work Friday morning

No cooking and minimum use of her kitchen!
    Showers/baths at specific times

Sounds as if someone else will be using the room Fri to Mon.
