Why?
If the agent going to mess the flat up, I'd rather not have to clean twice !:)
Why! because of exactly what has happened here.
First impressions count, my LL tried to view the flat 2 weeks into 1 month notice, I refused to let the LL in.
They can see the property when it's cleaned and ready for inspection, not before.
I just think here the OP is being slightly nieve, giving the keys for viewing yet surprised when the agent does an inventory.0 -

Count for what? They can't claim on her deposit when the tenancy isn't over.
The op could have stacks of boxes and a room full of bin bagsin there and the LL couldn't claim on her deposit0 -

I've made those points myself, the inventory means nothing, my point is why invite hassle when you don't have to.
Letting an agent in when the OP states the place needs cleaning is asking for hassle.
I repeat, only the checkout inventory is the one that counts, the OP now has to wade through a load of hassle they didn't need to go through.0 -

Both check in and check out count. As you compare the two!0 -
in relation to the inventory this thread is addressing...the unenforceable one taken before checkout.
All quite clear if you follow the thread.
It was clear until u joined in. The check out report isn't valid. Thats easy enough to see. Now the OP can fix what they aren't happy about0 -
