    Oh my goodness.

I wish my parents could afford a caravan to stick me in, even then they'd charge me high rent rates.

Its shocking, ive seen houses in Birmingham, 4 bedroom, that rent for £1000+ a month and there only worth about 500k tops.

    Between 2 people aswell?

Someones pulling a few legs here. I dont belive anyone in this world would rent a 1.4m house for £125 between 2 unless they really do have money to waste

it is owned by her parents and we have a contract to pay a peppercorn rent, around £125/month, we dont pay it and the contract is in place to just protect thier property should we split up.

I think you answered your own question in that sentence.

Protect from what? Non of you would get anything from that property anyway so there would be no need for protection incase you split up. Only way you'd possible get anything was to get rid of the parents, have the house inherit to the daughter then you split up. Im not sure if even that would work.

Oh Well. Find a new girlfriend with her own house and marry her. You might succeed next time.

I bet you thought the 1.4m house was hers, thats why you married her. HA HA.

That sounds cheap to me! A one bed flat in London worth 200K or so easily commands that.

    Slight contradiction there, methinks.
