Can anyone please help me?
A few weeks ago I upgraded my Adobe Acrobat 7 reader to Adobe Acrobat 8 and immediatley afterwards I had various problems mainly the computer running very slow and hanging.
A friend on mine said this was happenning to his computer after the upgrade and apparently was cause by a bug in the Adobe Acrobat 8 software - he said to remove Adobe Acrobat 8 and wait several weeks until it was sorted out. I went to system restore to a date a few days earlier and removed it and my computer said it had reverted to Adobe Acrobat 7 and the computer problems were solved.
However when I tried to use Adobe Acrobat 7 nothing happenned and the computer just hung.
It is now several weeks later and I decided to do the upgrade again thinking the bug must have fixed by now the program downloads from the website then when I open it it trys to load and get the following message:-
"This patch could not be opened.Verify that the patch package exists and that you have access to it, or contact the application vendor to verify this is a Windows Installation package."
I then tried removing Adobe Acrobat 7 in add and remove programs and got the same messge.
Can anyone help me please?

This one has corruption written all over it
someone else can assist but it looks like you'll need to manually remove it all from your registry etc... [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
