Ok thanks for clarifying, what other 5% accounts are there? I'd have the maximum 2x tsb's. Is it the flex direct account you mean which is 5% for 12 months? I'm after a longer term one if poss...

How much longer term are you after?
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I'd say at least 24 months, but I'd really like something with no time limited bonus rate.

TSB Classic plus - you only need to pay in £500 a month and no DDs required but the 5% is paid on balances up to £2,000 only.

You aren't yet fully utilising TSB.

Am I not? I am sure I read in the T&C's I can only have one sole and one joint account (I opened the sole account in Nov last year). If I have missed something that would be much easier and better!

Hi. I've recently opened a Tesco Current Account for savings and just applied for a second account. Can I move the >£700 around internally to avoid the account fee or do I have to fund it externally? I've just been through the website & PDF T&Cs and cannot see (or have missed) anything saying it cannot be internal. I could fund externally but a revolving £1k within the accounts would be easier to manage. Any help appreciated. Cheers - S.

Not at Nationwide and Santander. You will get no interest if you do not follow the T&Cs.

But it would be fine to swap money between e.g. the FlexDirect and the 123.

Sorry, I wasn't clear, I was only referring to the TSB accounts mentioned.

Hi, thanks. I think that that only refers to the different ways you can pay money into the account, it doesn't say specifically that funds paid in that way would satisfy the transfer requirements to avoid the £5 monthly fee. Hopefully ffacoffipawb's post above has answered my question. :) Thanks again.
