    Hi Dotty
My husband who is an enthusiastic amateur shot my sisters wedding. He did an incredible job and they loved the pics. I'd look for someone like that as others say above a close friend etc.
Dawn - thanks, I hope it works but essentially as I'm going over to a tablet with accounting software it's just a cash box I need. I bank every day so don't need a fancy system. It's so funny if only I could go back 3 years to set up the costs I would now save...hindsight is a wonderful thing. Your bag sounds lovely.

Jo Jo - as the quote says ' the readiness is all' I am never too busy to prep for the school run the night before. And in time it reaps massive rewards.

    Welcome back Kezlou :)

Now where are Carrielovesfanta, Maria, Getting Organised & Stiltoncheese? If anyone sees those ladies send them over :)

Dawn - I'm been both retail magnement and hospitality (pub magnement) I'll be returning to work in one off the bars I worked in. However, I'll be going in as experienced staff rather than magnement for now. Just a little extra income a week will help loads.

Been quite difficult sorting childcare for little one, no places in nursery but managed to sort a child minder. Just need to sort the days out with the boss, once he rings. Frustrating waiting on someone! Spoke with job centre and know where I stand now and what to do! Spoke to ex as well and discussed everything, he can't do much but can help here and there. Just wish the phone would ring!

Hope everyone having a good day xx

Afternoon all, you all sound so organised!!

    Today I have/will
Took the kids to school breakfast club on way to the gym so free breakfast.
Used my gym membership & had shower/dried hair there - thanks Dottybear I usually come home to do that, it was only after reading your post this morning that I realised I was missing a great mse thing!
All meals from stores (continuing the use up of stuff to be just left with the things we really use/like & enjoy!)
Updated spreadsheet after the month end

Hung washing out for the first time this year - made me smile this one!
Rang Sun Perks to cancel contract, I rang to cancel 3 months ago but they offered me it 1/2 price for 3 months (£3.99/month) so I stayed.. that is due to finish so again I rang to cancel and they eventually got me to stay by offering a £20 argos voucher and 3 months for £9.99 (£3.33/month) Happy days - we currently use (or gift to my sister) the odeon kids club tickets each weekend so its been great!

    Still to do
make a veg soup with the wilting veg in the fridge

NSD today with the exception of the kids karate class tonight.

Awww - hello Bob, just realised you had asked after me :):)

    Hi all,

I hope everyone is well. I have been awol again. Lots going on this end and spends have not been great (as usual) but I have been putting my foot down (gently) with OH about certain things.

I've been trying to relax more and stress out less about what I think I "should" be doing.

    Today's mse list:

    • B/L/D from stores
    • Draw up a chart with the new housework system on it
    • Some housework according to chart!
    • Charge phone in work
    • Check online banking and reconcile spreadsheet
    • Log calories in free app
    • No booze (the eternal struggle...)
    • Crochet
    • Plant sprouted chilli seeds in prepared trays.
A small list but I seem to struggle to do much :o

    Have a good one all

    Hi all,
A few money saving bits & bobs today from me:
*Did laundry overnight on Economy 7 tariff. Wish it was outside drying on the line as v windy, but keep getting a sleety shower so will put heated airer on tonight, & set the washer for another cheap load.
*Unpacked & put away another box of completely random gifts from my Mum. You've got to love them: 1 ball of wool, 1 pot of mini daffodils, 4 dinners for cat, 1 wodge of paper napkins, 1 jar of honey, 1 box of tissues, a big pile of magazines, 1 pack of jam labels, 1 bottle of beer, 1 pair shape-wear tights, 1 pack of facial wipes & some free packets of flower seed!
*Did rubber pork. Big joint of pork for about £9 (technically free as we got it from Sainsbury's on a £9 off a £60 minimum spend voucher). It did roast dinner for 4 yesterday, will do enough pork hash for tonight, plus some for the freezer, it's done 2 packed lunches & I've also frozen 2 trays of slices in gravy. Felt quite pleased with that.
    *Made loaf in bread machine.
*Posted an ebay package. Checked to see if my other buyer has paid yet. Nope!
*Re-listed a few unsold items on ebay & photographed & listed 6 new ones.
    *Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Re-filled tiny plastic boxes with dried fruit for work snacks.
*Wrapped Mother's day gift using recycled gift bag & home made tag.
*Keep downstairs heating off until 5pm.
*Update calendar & filofax. Lots of new stuff to go on. I keep saying it, but planning & keeping ourselves organised always saves us money.
*Did one survey, before getting bored, but will do some more later because I really like vouchers.
Hope everyone getting off to a good start this week.
