Oh!! - Cuteness alert on this thread. I must charge up my camera. How do I do photo bucket? My husband has taken some lovely photos on his iphone but I can't upload them to the laptop.
Grimbal I will take your advice about the food and about the fingers. I will try the Encore food range as I shop at Tesco. I just thought Hills would be good for optimal health and we have a large bag of it to use up. Also the other cat we are getting eats it too. Your cats look so adorable. The little scared one is so cute. I'm glad she has found a good home.
We have decided to buy a tall cat tree suitable for two cats. It is one that fixes on the wall. Poppy keeps climbing on to the top of the dining chairs, looking up at the walls and mewing as if she wants to get up there. However she now seems very settled and is at present fast asleep on her comfort blanket on the sideboard. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -

This thread makes me want another cat!Sorry about that.

My cat (who lives with two dogs) is also fed and watered on the worktop. We have a perfect space for her under the boiler. I would also recommend a water fountain for the cat to drink from.0

What a beautiful tabby kitten
Give her time and safe spaces and she'll come around without a doubt. A cat tree is a great idea
Have you thought about how you go about introducing your soon to be other cat? It may be slightly more tricky introducing an older one to a kitten, but please try to get the kitten secure in one room first.
By establishing kitten in one room, you're giving her a space that she owns and feels safe in. You can then do the same for the older cat in a different room. They each have their own secure space. What you can then do, is introduce some bedding or toy from one room into the other to familiarise them with the other's smell. Next step would be to swap rooms for a short while so they can explore the room of the other. When you introduce them finally, the smell wont be completely unfamiliar. Try feeding them together, we had a stair gate type thing that we fed kitten inside our room with the door open, whilst others were fed on the other side"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -

Yes, I can see the likeness and very interesting to see how she will look when older. I have watched your cute kitten video and there is a definite likeness apart from your kitten is/was a healthy weight and mine is skin and bone. Incidentally, do your cats enjoy reading the kindle?
Well, she has gone from eating 100% tuna to zero. I tried her on a salmon kitten wet food and she ate the lot with relish. A few hours later I gave her a mixture of the dried food the seller gave us and the Hills Science plan and she ate of all that too.
So I am not going to give her tuna again, at least not very often. She likes being stroked and purrs very loudly. Her favourite thing is to be stroked to sleep on her blanket whilst cuddling her toy mouse. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
