  • Hi guys

Awww glorious Sunday :j sun is shining here and it has given me some motivation to do something!

    * So far have partially sprung cleaned/flyladied the kitchen - including cleaning the windows (inside), might pluck up the motivation for the outside too :D
    * used stardrops for cleaning & vinegar, washing up liquid & newspaper to clean windows
    * been to the bootfair and got a number of picture frames & a mirror for the lounge
    * bake muffins & lemon cake for dgd's packed lunches during the week
    * bff coming round for a cuppa and to let the little ones play
    * touched up a bit of paint in the kitchen

Am just finishing my coffee then I am going to finally pain the windowsill! :j:o:j

    Afternoon all,

Didn't get much done on list yesterday so will begin attacking that and a few extra.

Was in the middle of cleaning the kitchen (9pm I'm crazy I know) when my friend texted saying get ready be there in 29 mins I'm taking you out. Felt bad as I had no money, but she pointed out ive done it for her before. So had a great night out for free. Whilst out had discussion with boss and he said that he could find me 16 hours during the days so I could return back to work. Just need to get my head around childcare now :-D

    Today's little list

    - complete yesterday's list (mostly done now)
    - school stuff ready for morning (done)
    - ballet stuff ready for tomorrow (done)
    - watch film on neck flicks (done)
    - beauty night from stock - face mask, lotions, hot bath with salts and bath bombs, foot spa and nails done (done)
    - early night (hopefully)

    Xx

    Morning all,

Thanks allydowd for the freebie link - done
unsubscribed from groupon, wowcher, homebase, amazon, homebase & matalan newsletters
All meals from stores (although Tesco delivery due later with fresh items needed for the school/working weeks lunches etc)
Thats all I can think of so far for today, I'm sure theres more....

after this me and hubby reorganised the kitchen cupboards round, so much better after doing my use up meals!
Lunch was meant to be a full sunday lunch but as we'd got sidetracked we just had a jacket spud with salad and some chicken that was left in the fridge, hubby and boys commented on how much they enjoyed lunch!! result!

Now to blanche (sp?) some almonds as ds2 doesn't like the skin on them, much cheaper then buying separate bags of almonds going to do this whilst we all watch a dvd from the back of the cupboard :o
Following :money: to keep us debt free :j

    Hello :)
Didn't get round to posting yesterday as we rushed round early to get the shopping done, and had GD1 to stay (and entertain) overnight, and had to do lunch for 6. Ended up getting a takeaway in the evening as GD1 hadn't eaten much at lunch and I couldn't face cooking again :o So not a very MSE day on the whole - but I did a fab lunch from one of Jamie O's books, using largely ingredients I already had, so not a complete dead loss.

GD1 went home this morning after her favourite breakfast of HM pancakes with Nutella :) We planned to do some gardening, but then it poured with rain :( Still, it did brighten up again for a while (one of those annoying days where you get all kinds of weather in one day - we have had warm sunshine, high winds, heavy rain and hailstones so far ), so did get out and do a bit. And I had got up early and put the washing out, and it largely dried by the time it started to rain again. It is finishing off on the airer now.

We put compost on the section where the potatoes will be planted, planted some shallot sets, and broad bean and mangetout pea seeds, and I planted up some new herbs, as my old ones are mainly woody stalks now. That all sounds very impressive, but our veg garden is tiny, really just one large, deep raised bed and some big pots :rotfl:

Not a NSD as I bought a few herb plants this morning (4 nice biggish ones for £10 at Waitrose) and also a loaf of bread. All meals will have been from stores though :) And I already had the seeds and shallot sets.

The woodburner is alight now, and it is lovely and toasty in here, but we haven't had the central heating on all day. We had a late lunch, so will have something simple for supper later. A jacket potato perhaps :)

Hope everyone has a nice evening :)

Yay for the job offer, Jojo :T

DawnW - I always check the veg reduced section at Mr S for potted herbs (I do love to save a wilting plant!) but Mr T have some beautiful herb trees for £15 at the moment (lavender/rosemary/bay leaves), I'm going to wait until they forget to water them and have to sell them off cheap before liberating them to my plant hospital :rotfl:

We had a viewing on the house today which apparently went quite well and they are coming back for a second look on Tuesday. I have warned the estate agent that there is nothing on the market at the moment I am remotely interested in buying but if they make an offer I will ring the agent that had the house we loved to enquire if everything is going smoothly with the current buyer and if it is likely to come back on.

I also asked if they ever leaflet roads if they have someone who is proceedable that is interested in a particular area (I know I could do this myself too) and she asked which particular road we are interested in. They apparently have someone from that road looking for houses with them that is hoping to sell his to his sister but she is dragging her feet but if she changes her mind there is a remote possibility the agent could get us in there without it even going on the market.

We came back from the inlaws with a big bag of buns and some half cooked sausages that nobody was prepared to risk eating  so I've put them in the oven to cook through properly and will take them for lunch tomorrow.

Waiting on a Mr T delivery now, we are completely out of cat food and had to feed them a small tin of tuna instead, they were delighted!
