Three Customer Service
In December, I phoned Three customer service for 33 minutes from a BT land line. I phoned the 0333 300 3333 customer service number. A lot of the call was spent being put on hold whilst listening to music.
The cost of the call was £3.58 So the cost of the call was over 10p per minute despite it saying on Three's website that to call the number costs 5p per minute from a BT landline.
I recently signed up to a mobile broadband plan with Three. I want to put a data cap on so I don't go over the monthly data limit. Is there a way I can do this without paying expensive call charges to CS?

In the past I've not been over impressed with 3's India based customer service but my last couple of dealings with them have actually been really good.
I sent them a message via their website and they phoned me back a day or two later (hence costing me nothing). In both cases my enquiry (admittedly something fairly simple) was resolved quickly and efficiently.
I suggest you try the website

AFAIK, 033 numbers are charged at 'local' rate.
Register with, say, 18185, and you will pay only 5p connection charge when calling landlines.0 -

Thanks for the advice.
I heard there is a Three CS in Glasgow. Are they still available?AFAIK, 033 numbers are charged at 'local' rate.

On the phone bill, next to the number it says "Special Service".
Is it likely the connection charge is what makes the call so costly instead of the cost per minute?0 -
I have a Three 321 SIM for my phone. However, I don't have any credit on it at the moment.
Would I be able to call CS for free using it, or can you only use it to inquire about things realted to Three PAYG, and not mobile broadband?0 -

1. pick up phone
2. dial 333
3. press green/send
Does it work?0 -

My main question was whether Three would deal with mobile broadband inquiries over the free CS number. I guess they probably wouldn't because the number is for a PAYG sim.
I phoned CS from 333. It gives me 4 options to choose from. However, when I type a number on my phone's keypad to choose an option, nothing happens so it just ends the call.
The phone im using is a Lumia 520. How do you use the keypad during a call on this phone? I got the keypad to display onscreen during the call, but it doesn't select an option after I press a number.0 -
