Upfront line rental charges. HELP!!!!

Hi
Hope someone can help. In November 2014 I changed my internet provider and paid my line rental upfront. I'm am unhappy with the constant slow speed of their internet. I am in a contract for 12 months but I'm looking to change again as I'm that fed up!
I know I will have early exit fees to pay but the question I'm asking is will I get back the proportion of the line rental that I haven't used for the year? If not, can I have my line rental with this company and broadband with a different company?
I'm so frustrated and I really hope someone can help me!
Thanks

Who are you with and are you on an unbundled service ?0

Has your service been checked ???
Is this a problem on WiFi ??0 -
As above. More than likely that the issue is either wireless (possibly a channel clash) or a line fault. Changing providers will not resolve either of those issues, so do the basic diagnostics first-start by posting your router stats.
Refund of advance line rental depends on the provider: from memory BT will not, TT will.No free lunch, and no free laptop
