puting the details into EUClaim's search you get the following response
Our data shows that the airline can claim 'exceptional circumstances' e.g. there was a strike or bad weather conditions. This means they can't be held responsible and can't be forced to pay compensation.0 -
Strange as he was told a technical fault0

What time were they due to depart?
Aircraft was G-GDFG and departed PDV at 20.37 (utc) landed at BFS 00.40 (utc) day+1.Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Not sure of the exact details, thats why I was hoping flight stats could help, he seems to think they were delayed 3hr 15 mins and they were told by a technical fault0

scheduled departure time 17:33
scheduled arrival time: 21:30...so looks 3 hour and 10 minute delay on arrival based on Tyzaps data
given they left 3 hours and 4 minutes late I am really surprised they didn't put their foot down to make up that few minutes to keep them under 3 hours :-)0 -

Caz,
He tried to make time up but came up against nature, in the form of headwinds.
After they climbed out of PDV they reached speeds of around 517mph but the further NW they got the slower they went, ending up at around only 330mph.
He must have been one frustrated pilot!:rotfl:Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
