Buying a house renovating before moving in

We could have up to 6 months CT free whilst renovating. Have a look at local council website, should say on there.0

My Council DOESN'T detail discounts on its website (or presumably everyone would claim them) but when I emailed, then, 'cos they didn't reply, wrote, I found out that they offered up to three months for 'empty and unfurnished', whether or not major building works were going on. And so, I suspect policy and effectiveness of communication, vary across Councils!
I'd write and email, trowelling it on...'unoccupied...uninhabitable... unfurnished ...undergoing renovation... (or any other 'uns) and see what happens. Despite our prejudices I've found that most middle-ranking Council staff are really keen to help.
