Hi my Flybe flight from Manchester to Glasgow was cancelled due to the weather on January the 29th 2015. There was a lot of confusion for myself and fellow passengers. We got told one minute the flight was flying and the next it wasn't. This went on till almost 7pm although the flight was due to go at 16.40pm. Then after being told by security at check in that it was definitely cancelled, one of my group got an email saying the flight had actually taken off at 19.10pm. Although we we're shuttled to a lovely hotel it took till midnight before we left for a hotel in Accrington. If the cancellation was due to the weather then fair enough, but to discover it actually flew with one passenger on board was so frustrating when we all really needed to get home. We also had to leave the hotel to return to the airport at 11am the next day for a flight that didn't take of till 16.40pm. We did get a £5 voucher for food though. Is this a case for a claim or will it still come under weather even though my flight went without calling any of the passenger.
