    What does this 16v means?

    16v = 16 valves (4 valves per cylinder (4 cylinders) = 16v)

Are you sure you aren't getting confused with the engine name and trim level?
Confusingly ZETEC is a name they used for engines and a trim level.
The LX petrol had a ZETEC engine.

see the picture bellow to select car type from insurance company system

    Make: Ford

    Year of manufacture:2001

    Fuel type:Petrol

    Transmission type: Automatic

After these ,you will see the picture

On the insurance company system ,

LX and ZETEC are different model type.

Also , I searched google picture I saw LX is always under the front door and zetec logo behind the car

ETIS does not give the model spec. If it has LX on the door then it is more than likely an LX. A zetec would have that bdge on the door. Does it have alloy wheels, electric door mirrors, bumper fog lights if it does not then it is not a zetec.
  • This is my first car .
I do not know this answer. So , I will ask my friend to find these answers and I will update you.

So, LX and ZTEC ,GHIA ,CL all different ????

Why not just phone the insurance company concerned, give them the registration and ask for their opinion/advice?

  • This reg number does not come automatically.
Secondly , I contact DVLA they do not have any model information over there.

Insurance company do not want to give any advice.

Perhaps you could post photos of the bits of your car that say the model on them?

On the ETIS site ZETEC is the engine design NOT the model.

ETIS does show the model.. But.

They use series numbers to define the model. What series number is your car?
