Don't some PPCs use a clearing house who do have ATA AOS status so can access keeper details?

I believe it is Ranger Services. They can only do it for BPA members though.
  • has the customer (OP) caused the "clearing house" any damage or reason to personally claim there info from the DVLA

if the OP gets a NTO , we need to know , and find who asked for this info , as "!!!" is run by a EX copper ,, not suggesting anything yet ,

but its important to contact the DVLA to find how they got the info

and this company is not a member of the BPA

and they are clearly saying they have ways to enforce , see http://www.acesecurities.co.uk/#!about2/c4nz

It is these guys http://corporate.rangerservices.co.uk/about-us/ who are BPA members. But like I said they can only do it for other BPA members. Essentially they provide DVLA details to those members who only have paper access.

They are not a member of an Approved Trade Association and should not have been able to acquire your details from DVLA (have you read the Prankster's blog as per link from Freddy? This tells you about that).

They have no independent appeals process. You have very little chance of them upholding your appeal. Beyond that, you have two choices:

    1. Pay them (but they have no rights to your cash) or
    2. Ignore them and see where that takes you - the Prankster's blog again highlights the lack of any legal recourse they have to your money.

There's no silver bullet we can give you to make this go away - tough it out!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
