PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. • if you become homeless the council will ask if you have anywhere you can go and may ask the same thing or similar. they may even ask could the childs father provide accommodation for the child? unless the landlord was also asking a variety of other 'personal' questions, then its more probable that he was trying to help you (and himself of course!)

It's not even that much of a personal question. You really need to get over it, by the sounds of things you're still feeling sore over the ending of your relationship. This thread would be better suited to the Marriage and Families board...
  • The landlord has given you ample notice, and has tried to help you think of other options of places to stay - I don't understand what he's done wrong?
The finding a place to live is your real problem here, don't distract yourself by blaming the poor LL.

    No line crossed.
    It's someone else's fault.
