Even if the lender is causing the delays, this is poor communication by your broker. We like our clients to know when to expect an update and try not to over promise.

Be firm with your broker and let them know what you expect.

The BDM is the lender staff charged with assisting the broker - some are good, many are lazy and ineffectual.

Update on my application, my broker chased and spoke to the BDM, apparently my proof of deposit is in my name re my 13 year old daughters name and TMW need it in my name only.
Fair enough, but this was not logged on the system only found out because it was out of SLA......if only I knew this earlier (like last week).
The EA called me today confirming that another EA will be collecting the keys tomorrow at 5pm. I think I may have to accept that I have lost the property?
    Thanks
  • I am going to take the proof of deposit in my name only by hand tomorrow, if it's scanned and submitted in the morning, what's the chances it will go to offer????

  • Update on my case-
After throwing my toys out of the pram 2 weeks ago apparently TMW didn't like my proof of deposits. I have a few savings accounts. I then gave them a gifted deposit from my dad to cover the difference and also sent to solicitors. It took them another week to look at it at tell me that even though it's my dad gifting me the money it's still not acceptable for the proof of deposit. What's even more frustrating is that all my savings is with the nationwide and they can cross reference it. In the end my mum gave a letter. Joint family effort!
At long last I got an email from the broker this afternoon, I HAVE OFFER yay!
Do I have to use the gifted letter of funds or can I use any, I don't really want to use my parents money?
    Thanks
