I was wondering if anyone can answer me the following questions please?
1) are brokers able to speak to underwriters direct to push through an offer?
2) are there any delays with The mortgage works buy to let?
Knowing the answers to these 2 questions won't cover my greys but it may help me sleep tonight!
Thanks in advance

1) We can speak to underwriters at soem lenders not all. Your application can not be put to the front of the queue as its not TCF (someone elses is being pushed back), unless they have messed up somewhere and caused a delay.
2) Not as far as im aware, have a look on their site for service standards.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. 1) fair enough, I hope they have made an error and that's delaying the offer. I thought it should only take a few days after the valuation to issue it......
2) I can't find any information on this, as it's broker only I thought only you guys would know....0 -

Well no wonder I am confused! Thanks kingstreet! There is a well know saying about assumption......I thought wrong.
My application was done on 2nd feb, valuation took place on 9th, should I start throwing my toys out the pram yet?0 -
I'd be asking the person arranging your mortgage and getting paid for it what is going on.I am a mortgage broker. I keep getting fobbed off with "influx of applications" delays in processing.......still at final checks......
According to the link you have sent me I should have had the offer by now!0 -
One more question experts! I have chased the broker again, and again told it's still at final checks and they will contact their BDM tomorrow.......deflated and put the phone down.....
Am I able to call TMW direct and get more clarity to what is going on? I don't want to get anyone in trouble!
Thanks0 -
Got to admit I hate it when clients call the lender directly - its only every happened twice and one of them wanted everything done 5 minutes ago and a high up manager so used to being in control.
But if you have concerns then im sure you can call them.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
