Blank Screen On Motorola Razr??any Ideas

hi, my hubbys got a motorola razr and when closed it shows pic, time etc, but when you flip it open the screen is blank?? i can still ring him from my phone so network is ok but he hasnt a clue who is ringing him and he cant get his telephone numbers or anything. it is only 5 months old, i know it still under warranty but he needs it everyday in work and i thought if anyone has had this prob with theirs how did they fix it rather than sending it for repair, tried their website but no troubleshooting section. cheers
Also do i take phone back to shop where he got it (it was free, contract with orange) or contract orange as he has a business contract with them????

souns to me like either a software reload is needed or the cable that links the phone together has come out slightly or the LCD display has gone kaput and needs replacing

Hubby has now took sim card out give it a blow and now hes lost even the details on screen when phone is closed now!!! suffice to say phone is going back to shop where we got it tomorrow, shoulnt go when 5 months old should it!! thanks for reply gaming_guy, blinking incovenience tho, hubby needs it for work as hes self employed and relies on it for work. wonder if they will give him a curtesy phone until his is repaired or a new phone therer and then!!

may also be the keypad ribbon gone faulty
it will be repaired under warrenty

thanks drahcir, it is the ribbon we think. took it back to shop who told us to ring orange as its under warranty, so a courier be dropping new phone in next 24 hours. thanks for everybodys help.:beer:
