buy a wireless dongle and use next doors internet.

I was running a fonera (that was set up in a different location) for 6 mths last year , this gave access to the internet via BT (wireless)

How do i know next doors internet isnt secured. I might not be able to use it?

the obvious answer to your question is

buy a contract or pre paid wifi internet dongle , available at CPW , argos etc

that way you do not need a landline

that was your question wasn,t it?

So how do i use a pc to connect to the net without a landline?

if you are in a virgin area you can get cable broadband without having a landline
you can get satalite internet without a landline.
You can use a mobile dongle/mifi/phone to access the internet through thier data connection

You need to have a home phone line dont you to connect to the net for a pc. butI have got that if i were to get shot of my landline and just use mobile, that would render the pc useless wouldnt it?

Because you don't seem to take in what is said.....
    Cable ...... Too expensive
Satelite ... Way too expensive (if you can't afford Cable)
Mobile.... Your only other option. Google deals and equipment to see what the best is out there at the moment.
You can even do it on here.....http://www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/mobile-broadband/
