Try turning off all the funky graphics effects, like Aero etc. This laptop will likely have a GFX chipset that wasn't designed for Directx 10/11, so the chances are it will struggle.
Other than that, it's usually stuff running in the background that slows everything down, for example iTunes is a swine for it and lots of other programs have stuff running in the background, taking up resources for no good reason.
Personally i'd go back to XP, Win7 has no advantage unless you specifically need some of it's features (like Directx 10+).“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

+1 for turning Aero and other effects off.
When I used Windows Vista Aero was far worse than it ever was on Windows 7.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

With regards to upgrading the memory on this laptop to 2 Gb with these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2GB-2x1GB-DDR2-667-MHz-PC2-5300-5300S-Laptop-SODIMM-Memory-RAM-200-Pin-CL5-/221580412660
at the bottom of the Q&A it states this
7. Last, but not the least, the problem may be with your operating system. Some versions of Windows® do not recognize memories above a certain limited, especially if you are using a 32 bit Windows®.
This laptop is running windows 10 and is the 32 bit system so will I still be able to upgrade to 2gb or or higher?
Thanks.[/IMG]

Will 4 gb make it run faster?Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -
The first link gives the spec of your motherboard, backing up the 4GB max claim. The second link is to an example you could purchase.
More RAM is always better than less RAM. Less RAM means the PC needs to use the HDD as virtual RAM much more, which is slower.0 -
