I have got the glucose gel on prescription, however ds1 had pulled everything out of my bag in the morning and I hadn't seen that had gone too. Normally I double check everything as this is her little trick (one of many) at the moment, was only home for for 15 mins inbetween appointments so was a little rushed. I use to carry raise a or chewits but the little ones always ended up eating them. Luckily I don't get many hypos when out and about, it was just one of those days.
Ah, that's always the way. I only ever seem to need my asthma inhaler on the one or two days in months when I don't have it with me!0 -
I had earmarked a value macaroni cheese for lunch but alas, when I woke up the cupboard was bare so I had to buy lunch but I bought the cheapest sandwich and avoided the lure of a meal deal.
For dinner we had breaded fish which is nearly always the last thing in the freezer and we don't fancy it then eat it because there's nothing else and it's really quite nice then the next time it's on offer I buy some more and it sits there for ages again and repeats the whole cycle.
It wasn't quite the last thing this time though, I have just taken out two chicken breasts to defrost for tomorrow. I have a red pepper and onions already and a frozen pack of onion bhajis (they are *always* on offer at MrT and I want to see what they're like.) I'm not sure whether to buy a pack of mushrooms to pad out the curry but with the bhajis maybe the two breasts will stretch to feeding three of us? (I guess I could cube some potatoes and add those instead.)
Edited to add: Result! I've just found a YS pack of Bombay Potatoes in the freezer!
That just leaves a pack of boil in the bag cod in parsley sauce (bleurgh!) donated by the inlaws (they didn't like it so I don't know why they thought we would!) but I'm thinking it could be a good base for fish pie with a bag of value prawns and a couple of eggs. Must look out a recipe, it's a long time since I cooked a fish pie and DS threw up then but I *think* he was ill anyway
I have recommended some friends and family for mystery shopping so will make £1.50 for each of them if they sign up. Two are people I've raved about it to so are expecting it and the third is my eldest step son who has not long moved into his first rented flat and could do with some free meals outMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
