closed account .. refunds

Hi, Just wondered if anyone could advise. I had a credit card which I have since closed. Amazon plan to give me a refund but will only refund my old credit card I used to make the purchase which is now closed. The card company aren't helpful. What are my rights? Many thank.

I had that problem with a hire car. Bit of a nightmare. They credited old cancelled card. I could not get anywhere initially with CC company. The car company proved they has sent the refund by sending the receipt.

Eventually after speaking to someone who knew what they were doing at CC company they said the CC is never actually closed it can still recieve payments. When it does the money goes into a holding account. They sent me a cheque eventually. Took 3 weeks and 30 phone calls though. Good luck
