    Good morning everyone,

It's quite stormy here too, I have a big list for today but so far i have yet to move so i guess it's going to be a lazy day for me.

Mince and mash with veg for tea tonight i am not that keen on mince so i fancy beans on toast instead.

Poor DH has a little head cold so he is feeling very sorry for himself.

well i better go and make a start on my list of chores.

Have a warm, safe and happy day,

    Regards

    Morning all,

TA fingers crossed I don't jinx myself but haven't had a UTI for awhile. At one point I stopped going to the doctors they were coming so frequent.... then I started to worry about damage to my kidneys as well as the worry of damage due to the long term medication I am on. Fortunately all was well when I had my blood tested not so long back but it taught me not to take my health for granted. Even the doctor told me off! I think ive got it sussed though, its all down to how much I drink. I don't like drinking, never have. I have to force myself to. I rarely if ever get thirsty.

Busy weekend. Grandson slept soundly though which was a blessing. He's hard work but so enjoyable.

Yesterday was just as busy.....needed to pop out to get a few things we weren't able to get on Saturday. Popped in to see the Outlaws. They visited last Sunday but we weren't in so we popped in to show our face.

Found out which dog has gut rot, its Lucy dog. She's managed another pile this morning ive just got to clean up thankfully she made it outside. Ive got both of them on natural yogurt at the moment. I will have to keep an eye on her today.

Hubby didn't sleep well last night and kept me awake tossing and turning. By the time he eventually fell asleep I just couldn't sleep. I managed to drop off after he went to work at 4.30 and the girls got me up to get let out at 9. Anyone got any matchsticks I can borrow please?

Right I'd best get stuck in. Ive got loads I want to do today but i'll see how I go.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Hi everybody cold but fairly bright here today, the wind is nippy though.I'm expecting my brother shortly, its DH birthday today too so he's bringing his card and no doubt a bottle of wine-it's what we tend to do for each other.Other DB and Sil came yesterday after noon but missed DH but we had a nice chat.
We had ys lamb chops for tea, roasties ,veg then apple & mincemeat crumble.Plenty crumble left but will prob do a Victoria sponge after as DGD is here for tea and no doubt she will want a cake & candles.
DH got rid of the chest freezer yesterday so I can get into the garage of doom now so I can sort some stuff to get rid of.

  • Just had a had some hail and wet snow and it is bitter here today.
I have done some washing and I am so glad I didn't put it out.

I have done my morning physio and have to do it again after lunch, it isn't doing much, but she did say it would be a long hard painful slog :(

Had a really bad hypo on Saturday just before we went up to the zoo, I was ok after four jelly babies and a sarnie.

There was blooming freezing wind up there though, at least we took the car in and had somewhere to warm up and eat our picnic. I love being a member it is well worth the money.

Csarina I hope it is nothing serious and you are back to your bouncy self soon xx

Plan for this afternoon is some more knitting.

    BFN xx

  • BB be very wary of actully mentioning JELLY INFANTS by their proper name......you'll get MARDATHA rampaging down to not so sunny Bedfordshire on a border raid if she knows you've got them still.....Be very, very careful!!!!!

We have managed to get about four pounds of weight on him which is apparently good for only three months after treatment. I had not realised that radiotherapy affects metabolism He is now lighter than he was as a (slim) teenager!

Quiet now middle DD went back to her new house yesterday and youngest went back to uni but I am enjoying some peace and quiet and trying to finish sewing the second window seat for her. It should match the six dining chairs I re covered with fabric and if I have enough fabric left I would like to make a couple of matching bolster type cushions.

She e mailed a photo of the window seat I finished at the weekend
    and it looks quite good.

DH had banana pancakes for breakfast, a small jam sponge and custard mid morning, leftover roast dinner for lunch and will have fish chips and peas tonight. Me and DD will probably have lower fat chips.

Still have present wrapping to do for DD's birthday on Friday as I seem to be wrapping everybody's gifts as well as ours.

    Hugs to all

  • Elona,

    I didn't know that either.

I had 25 sessions of radiotherapy and I completely lost my appetite for some while and always seemed to feel sick. Himself worried about me but gradually everything improved. I did lose weight, but believe me it did me no harm, I still have plenty in reserve.

I am so pleased he is doing well, and well done on the recovering of the chair seats and window seat.

Another one MIA, not sure where time going. Been a nicer day out here today, the wind has been taking the top off the temperatures. I'm in charge today, as DH has started with a cold/flu and has stayed in bed, a very rare occasion, I might add.

We have had the house piped up for mains gas, which is coming sometime this summer, but they are getting the houses ready when we are here.

Any long servers on here remembering Anniestar & hubby, well he has had his teaching job made permanent today, which I am delighted about, she is being cagey on FB, but feel sure she would welcome a msg on there.

My RH shift key has died on my keyboard and as a touch typist it is driving me mad, will try to get out and get one tomorrow.

Molly I'll send Skye round to chase the BD away, hope you are OK. LW where are you hiding.

Well better go and see what DGuy is feeling like now. ((hugs)) spoon, and positive vibes all round. Take care everyone DG
