Transport fails sometimes, whether you're getting the bus to the supermarket or waiting for a delivery. I don't think there's anything else to say on the matter.
That is fine, but it must have broken down between your home and mine.
I am not saying anything about it happening. I am just pointing out that it is risky to depend on the food for your tea.:beer:0 -
how often does anyone rely on a veg deilvery as a life and death food source!!
my veg box is delivered like clockwork and as far as i know their van is no more likely to break down than anyone elses!!!
I have been starved today as a result-so whilst not life and death still puts a dampener on the day.:beer:0 -
It's not just organic food deliveries that you shouldn't depend on though.....
I've had my Sainsbury delivery not turn up at allAlso had it turn up 3 hours late - so too late to roast the chicken they were meant to be delivering.
Now I always make sure I can survive for another two days after the delivery is due to arrive !working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

This is exactly what I do NW, I remember ordering my first delivery shop from Asda which included that evenings meal, they turned up 5 hours late at 10pm and we had to order pizza, I was not impressed! Now I always make sure I order a day earlier than I need to just in case, or order for the morning so that I can still get out and catch Tesco's.
Thanks for pointing this out thou Phil, I had my first veg box delivered yesterday with no probs but will bear this in mind in futureDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I've been having my veg box delivered for about 3 years now and only once has it not arrived at all. I had a phone call late that day from the farm to apologise - several drivers had phoned in sick and despite their best attempts, there was nothing they could do to cover all the rounds. They apologised profusely and gave me a 50% discount on the following week's box.
Of course I was disappointed that the box didn't arrive, but what were they supposed to do? I think they were more than fair and and I've had no problems since.
My box arrives on a Friday and I've only just discovered that the driver arrives at about 2am (Had a late night last Thursday and he was here before I'd gone to bed!!!!!)Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0
