parking eye charge but didn't leave car

so i've come in today to find a letter with a £100 fine enclosed. firstly let me confirm that i have gone through the threads regarding appeals and will be taking this up however i'm not sure if my circumstances are different or if the appeal wording will still apply.
the photos on entry and exit are for a total of 25minutes how ever during this time i never actually parked in a parking bay, left the car or even turned the engine off (i had a child asleep in the car and was using the car park to drive around rather than do it in the town centre).
obviously therefore i wouldn't have read any of the parking notices or been able to enter my regitration in the required machines that are located within the main complex. should i follow the appeals templates and process located in the forums or does anyone actually feel that a simple complaint letter explaining the above would get me anywhere
thanks in advance

Name of company that issued the PCN?
Arguments about mitigating circumstances never work. Use the usual legal arguments as stated on the newbies thread. These are poor signage (therefore no contract), no gpeol, etc.
Write a draft and post it on this thread for comments before you send it.0 -
No circumstances are "different" !
There is one circumstance, you have a parking charge notice to fend off.
Nothing else is relevant, circumstances cloud and make things worse.
This is the formulae to follow
Bog standard appeal to PE = rejection + POPLA code = POPA Appeal as advised from here = no parking charge.
Put anything else in the pot and it boils over.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -

the company is Parking eye.
i'll just follow the standard procedure

You used someone else's private land for your own purposes. You failed to comply with their reasonable T&Cs. You must now jump to PE's tune, (or some of it).You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Whereas I can agree with you that Randell82 was using the car park for 25 minutes and it doesn't matter a fig if the car was stationary, occupied or driving round, we should be helpful as well as educative.
There is a sticky NEWBIES thread already prepared at the top of the forum to help newcomers. Please read that for a comprehensive guide.0 -
hello im in same boat right now did you manage to get it sorted? x0

You can't get help on someone else's thread, especially not an ancient one from 2015 you randomly found on Google...this is an out of date thread. Read loads of RECENT threads by all means, including the NEWBIES thread near the top; never mind 2015 archive threads, just look how many threads were new today, for example:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163
...then start your own thread but NOT YET.
Not a thread just calling for 'help' without researching anything at all (please, and not headed up 'heeeeeelllllppp!'). What we will help with is a thread posted by someone who has read other threads and still has a question even though the NEWBIES thread gives you a copy & paste template appeal for a registered keeper to submit.
Oh, and do not reply to any private message from a poster with less than 1000 posts to their name here. We deal with these issues openly on the forum and any pm could be from anyone at all (even the parking firm) and is not recommended to be replied to/read.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
