Good morning Lorraine. I haven't seen you around for a while. Are you managing to get enough coupons?

hi CS, Got some coupons when they first came out, but its all dried up my end, still have a couple of sheets to see me through, just trying to grab a load for poor folk on here who don't seem to get any :D

(ps, I'm always around ;) just been floating around in the background, trying to keep myself out of trouble)

Fantastic thread btw, great for a quick shopping list, if your like me, I can spend about an hour down the H&B aisles wondering what to get, then get it all wrong and have to pay some towards it :D

The original idea was feasable, but it now means we have two threads to discuss Hand B and HC, whereas the discussion before was in one place, we'll soon be back to multiple threads with the same things getting discussed on all as happened before, took a while then to get everything back into one thread, getting rid of the need to move around the site, only to read the same information..........Just my opinion....

I started this thread when the last H&B thread started to get heated and Welsh Dragon asked for someone to start a new thread. I thought a shopping list thread would help, with suggestions of what to buy and which coupons to use. Later someone closed the heated H&B thread and since then a new one has been started.
Personally, I have found seeing other people's shopping lists useful.

i think the shopping lists thread is a great idea too. i usually spend hours walking up and down the same isles with paper, pen and calculator in hand, im sure they think im a shoplifter "shopping" to order! im not always successful and usually end up paying more than i thought but if i do get a good shop i am excited for ages! lol
dont have much luck getting vouchers tho, have to rely on friends to send them to me, local tesco is too small and other bigger one is a day out in the car with a picnic!
thanks to all who post and help out a dumb blonde (no offence to other blondes but i really am dumb!!)

:hello: leadhead nice to see you.... how are you?.... Always a pleasure for you to share your coupon trips with us!

There's actually 3 threads running on H&B & HC, the original, this one and a HC shopping list one which has dropped somewhere (not much on offers to report obviously on HC)

After being away for 2 weeks I felt quite like a newbie having to read through the threads to see what members have been up to & buying. I welcomed this new thread as found info I wanted quickly..... However I've always managed before to work my own combinations out & pick details I wanted from the original thread.... So would have followed my own advice I've given to newbies before, read the first post & read the thread all info there. (Don't be so lazy...)

I can see Chrismasshopper set it up for reasons now given above & was a good idea with good intentions at the time which was helpful. (Thanks Cshopper) Simply this should be a LIST ONLY thread but that wont happen as questions have & will arise over lists, so already there is repeat posts & info which MAY be missed if not all 3 threads read, (something that needs sorting.) I can see both up & down sides to the shopping list thread...

Forgot to add... Possible solution to keep things tidy, if the thread is to stay which a new one should be opened EVERY offer change.... The opening poster could put in first post... SHOPPING LISTS & COUPONS USED TO BE POSTED ONLY... no discussion/questions please... with a link to original thread. Therefore members can still find combinations easily on here if they choose to look, & if so wish post their shopping trips & items on the original if they so wish with discussion.... (Must be an easier way of explaining this)

Sorry for discussion & no shopping list info *K*

As i said at the beginning of my post and which kronen has so elegantly echoed.....the idea is feasable and welcomed, but the thread has turned into a discussion of the shopping lists, pretty much the same as the original H and B coupon thread.............everything you say above i agree with........if it could be kept solely for lists, and NO discussion..
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

 i spoke too soon above !

my local store is seemingly clamping down in coupns useage

they are going down the "only 1 of each type " route .i managed to talk them into accepting more yday and today though ;)

but was wondering what are the best combos of things to buy, if you can only use 1 of each type ???

any successful shopping lists in this scenario ? :)

Rachie B - see my post on the H&B thread. I've been using the one coupon rule for days now but its getting harder and harder to use them as the SA's are still looking for reasons to reject them. You'll still need to be alert and ready for a struggle and develop a thick skin before you go in.

    Here's one I use:

    2 Herbal Essence Shampoo @ £2.98 BOGOF £5.96
    2 Dove shampoo @ 2 for £2 £2.00
    2 Tesco value shower gel @ 13p £0.26

    Total before savings £10.04

    Actual amount due £5.24

    Coupons amount £6.15

    1HB x £2.50
    1QK x £1.25
    1HB x £1.00
2SB x 70p ( if you've not actually bought the Palmolive bath and shower range the stores I go to will only use these against their own brand of shower gel now not against Dove bodywash like they used to- your Tesco might still take them against Dove bodywash)

CREDIT to use off your other shopping 0.91p

Hope that is of some help to you.
