He ran out of our front door, ranting and raving about their f*****g dogs and the mess and about how if he caught them doing it again, he'd be wiping all over their front door, etc etc etc.
He must have scared them, they cross the road rather than walk past our house any more! :rotfl:
My dad actually did that when we were young. Picked it up and took it roundNever again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0 -
Wash/ swill the area with a biological washing detergent solution, it will kill the enzymes that make it subsequently attractive to dogs (ie not just the first one). After that, take your choice. I'd certainly make the dog warden aware and if you get the chance get a photo - they can be fined up to £1,000.Hope is not a strategy.0

I`ve been known to scoop it up and leave on their drive! They now go the other way0

Really? Jeyes fluid used on at outside pavement will make a dog walking on that pavement ill? I can understand that used indoors or in a dog's kennel it might be a problem, but outdoors on a pavement where the dog is only passing by in transit? That sounds really unlikely to me. But the smell might put the dog and its owner off lingering which is what the OP is trying to achieve.
using it neat is never good, advice given from vet, if pet licks paws and ingests it, mind you neat jeyes on the human could always work, cant do no harm :rotfl:0 -
Never, ever use Jeyes Fluid neat!!
You'd probably be arrested for causing a public nuisance, the smell is that strong!
Use it and then rinse it off. The smell is so strong and lingers for such a long time, that you only need to follow the dilution instructions. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Its my biggest hate. We are open plan out the front and the amount of dog owners who let their dogs off the lead and then just walk ahead whilst their dogs do their business on our front grass. I must be known as the local mad woman as I will shout out of the window/door and ask them to get it cleared up.
I actually used chilli powder, cleaned up the mess and scattered the chilli powder in the area to mask the smell.
I also saw one of the neighbours, who moaned about kids dropping rubbish in the street, stand and watch his dog do it business on the pavement.
When it got dark I got my scoop and threw it into his front garden.0 -
My elderly Mom had similar problems last year, & I used to clean it up. Then after a bit of googling I discovered that I could report it online & fill out a form, they ask for a description of the dog & owner .... Although if she knew that she'd have dealt with the people herself. The council say that they'll come out & clean it up, but they rarely do. So it may be worth a try.
Also my niece reported someone who regularly allowed their dog to crap outside the school. Someone from the council caught them & fined them. So it may be worth taking a photo of you do see them.0 -
work colleague was forever finding dog poop chucked over her fence at the back even caught her doing it. so she skooped it all up over a week and plastered it all outside her front door at night, neighbour had quite a shock in morning upon opening her front door and finding it plastered everywhere needless to say it didnt happen again

For the life of me I can't remember where I heard this but made me laugh!!
They took the dog poo, wrapped it in newspaper and put it on the dog owner's doorstep. Rang the bell, then quickly lit the paper and ran away. Cue dog owner quickly stamping on the paper to put the flames out!!
Obviously due to health and safety concerns this should NOT be done, but....?0
