need a comfortable sporty looking car

I was going to say Volvo; granted not really sporty, but I have back problems and they are the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in, I'd have a set in my living room if I could.
I have a big V70, but I have friends with C30 & S60 and the seats are all the same.
If she wants sporty looks (more than drive) than look at the C70...
My father has had many BMW's all I found uncomfortable to travel in and I know people with Merc & Audi again I find them uncomfortable, I think it's a Germany things that there car seats are firmer. Father now has a Honda Accord and they are ok, but no where near my Volvo's.0 -

Mercedes-Benz CLK 1.8 CLK200 Kompressor 2dr
Comfy interior -0 -
I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but there are only two retail cars that I've clung on to far too long before admitting defeat. A Rover 800 coupe and a Chrysler Crossfire. Both so, rightly, limited in their appeal that the supporters clubs hold their meetings, at the same time, in a phone box.
Was there any need for your jaundiced rant?0 -
Rant? I could have mentioned what a ridiculous, badly assembled, garishly styled piece of americanawanabe the Crossfire was, up until now. Throw away the price guide, you need someone similarly touched to buy one.0

Get a Mazda RX8. You can get an 07 car for peanuts, factor in an engine rebuild so you don't need to worry how previous owners have treated the engine and you'll still have £3k of your budget left which will buy an awful lot of petrol to make up for the 18-20 mpg you'll likely get.0

Renault Laguna coupe.
Would be a the top end of your budget.0 -

As reviews are always correct aren't they.
In my experience Autotrader reviews are not particularly accurate or relevant.
Wanting "sporty looks" and "comfort" is always going to be a compromise.
The ride in my old V50 was not perfect but due to the fact the seats were sublime meant it was a comfy place to be sat for hours on end.0
