Digger cat

Some of you may know I have 4 cats.
From those 4 , Macius the wobbly cat is the smallest, really half the size of Teddy which is my biggest cat.
All the cats are good as gold using the litter trays, hardly any litter out but Macius.. all by himself, every single time he goes into a tray, every single time.. sighhhh Notice how big/high my trays are, still.....

I have two cats and one of those is a digger, she is small too but every time she goes she digs for ages making a lot more mess than your pic,I had thought of getting bigger trays but by the size of yours it would not solve the problem suppose we will just have to put up with it.

Oh this is just one side of the tray - there is similar amount on the other side too.. Macius spreads is like over a meter on 2 sides of the tray

Love this wobbly matchstick legs cat to bits but this drives me insane as other cats and the dog carry it on their paws all over the place...I am not at home 24/7 to sweep the floor each time after him
  • I put mine in a cardboard box with an opening at the front it contains quite a bit. My problem is now my kitten is 9 months she goes out in the garden but comes in to use the litter tray how do you teach them to use the garden?

Ah well you see, it goes back to when he was a kitten and his mummy cleaned up his poos for him.

Just be grateful you have a scoop :rotfl:

my Barnes likes to pile the litter on any poos or pees - so much so that one end of the litter tray can be completely empty of litter! I call it 'building sandcastles'.

and I am convinced that kittens are taught by their mama to kick a little litter out of the tray to ward off evil spirits!

None of my boys wanted to use a hooded tray and even the biggest one would be small for Teddy as he is really tall for a cat.

With 4 cats using 2 trays (they are happy sharing and i have no space in the flat for more trays) they have to be filled in deep.

Just my Macius is such a messy little boy.. sigh.. funny as he is the smallest of all 4.

Ours use to do this but he's grown out of it, now wont use the litter tray at all unless he really has to.

I'd second what others have said try a box with a lid.
