I hope you come back to the thread with a verdict, once the incident has run by the seargant and cps advisors, then there is a very high chance the charge will be upheld.0 -

Nope!
What I feel doesn't really matter with the actual incident that you described or anyobody else that has replied to the thread.
At the end of the day it will be the court's (should you let it go that far) descision.
How I understand it, is that when an incident is reported to the seargant, the details are copied to the legal department for consideration by the CPS if there appears to be a strong case then a court date is often set.0 -

So when you said once it gets past seargant and cps there is a high chance the charge will be upheld, on what do you base this assertion?0 -

Because CPS do not follow through cases that are not in the public interest.
Eg member of the public sees something, reports it the the police, the officer sees something, reports it the the seargant, they report it to the cps or whoever, so along the line, there is opportunity to dismiss the action or likelyhood of it being judged in court.
Please note, don't badger me into the debate of whether you should have been charged or not.
As the outcome does not affect me in anyway whichever way it rolls..0 -
